Who We Are

Gym Floor Inspectors LLC was founded in 2004 by Floyd Shelton. A pioneer in the industry, Floyd owned his own sports floor manufacturing company under the name of Superior Floor Co, Inc. for nearly 20 years before selling Superior Floor in 2004. In 2005 he started Arizona Gym Floors, LLC in Scottsdale, Arizona and sold the company in 2024. He holds seven sports floor patents, established the world’s only gym flooring installation school, and has taught over 1500 students the proper technique of sports floor installation.
